Plastic Hali, the formless form
Plastic Hali
from Form to Formless form
in Knotted form
1 PLASTIC HALI is an artistic research in 6 experiments on the technique of rug weaving.
1.1 HALI is the Turkish word for "knotted rug" and also the name of a famous magazine on oriental rugs.
1.2 PLASTIC does not refers to plastic three-dimensional art but it is simply the material of the Knots that make up the color of the upper layer of pile, as well as the material of the Weft which, together with the Warp, is the backing of the rug. The plastic comes from shopping bags and packaging, recovered, cut into strips and inserted in the loom.
